Gensler designed the 16-story, 450,000 SF of space of Verizon's Boston workplace that included workplace, Innovation Center and amenities. The project is a forward-looking vertical campus located in Boston’s waterfront district, anchoring the southern tower of The Hub on Causeway. Designed as a tech-enabled workplace, the project reflects Verizon’s commitment to Boston’s growing innovation and technology community while redefining how a large enterprise can support flexible, connected, and experience-driven work.
The workplace is organized around multiple modes of working, including individual focus areas, choice-based dynamic spaces, and technology-equipped collaboration zones that allow employees to shape their day based on their needs. Amenities are distributed throughout the campus in two-story communities, creating moments of connection across the vertical stack and extending into a series of double-height porch spaces.
At the heart of the project is a three-story Innovation Center, where customers, partners, and visitors can engage with Verizon’s emerging technologies through curated exhibits and immersive experiences. Together, the workplace and Innovation Center create a seamless environment that blends physical design, digital integration, brand storytelling, and collaboration — positioning Verizon for its next chapter as a connected, technology-driven organization.
