This project consists of two stages of buildings that span an entire city block in the heart of the Yuzhong District of Chongqing. Woods Bagot was commissioned to firstly, reposition and modernize an existing structure (as Phase I) to be Marriott executive apartments and, secondly, to design a new mixed-use tall tower (as Phase II), connected by a retail podium. With a structure that reaches 431 meters at the top of its parapet and a dynamic retail podium, the Chongqing Tall Tower both serves as the defining city icon and a reinvigoration of the dynamic street life of Chongqing. The development comprises a variety of programs, including retail, offices, apartments and a luxury hotel. These multi-faceted programs give the project a diverse character and dynamic twenty-four hour life.
